The Vasantro Acharekar Sanskritik Pratishthan’s efforts in organising the “Nath Pai One Act Play competition & disciplined approach in helping the upcoming drama artists were well appreciated by Ford Foundation & Theatre Academy Pune. In recognition of these efforts, the Vasantro Acharekar Sanskritik Pratishthan was selected for the “Local Drama Associations Improvement Plan” jointly sponsored by the Ford Foundation U.S.A. & Theatre Academy, Pune.This festival is being arranged annually for last 21years. Under this scheme, 350 members are there. All the major plays of parallel marathi stage havebeen performed at Kankavli under this scheme.These modern & parallel stage plays were till now only limited to Mumbai-Pune area. These plays could be enjoyed by the rural people only because of sponsorship of Ford Foundation. Vasantro Acharekar Sanskritik Pratishthan played an important role in bringing these plays to this region. After the completion of six years, the Ford Foundation stopped the grant for this project. From last 9 years sanstha organises this festival on its own funds & membership fee.
